Scenic Mulholland Drive accross the Hollywood Hills to the getty Center and to Sunset Blvd
21 miles long Mulholland Drive named after pioneering Los Angeles civil engineer William Mulholland is featured in innumerable movies, songs, and novels (i.e David Lynch Mulholland Drive). It is a ridge road that runs East-West across the Santa Monica Mountains from the 101 fwy to Sepulveda Blvd. Suffice it to say that it offers spectacular views of the Hollywood Hills, the Hollywood Sign and the San Fernando Valley.
For some, the highlight of this ride is the Visit to the Getty Center which is not only a place for visual arts excitement but also a splendid location to just walk around and enjoy some relaxing time after riding up and down Mulholland Drive. The Getty offers one of the most magical view of the L.a basin from the Pacific Ocean to the snowy sierras.
Our ride then continues on to the curvy, residential portion of Sunset Blvd, all the way to Pacific Coast Highway, where we connect with Topanga Canyon, one of the most artsy part of the town, a refuge for many baby boomers and the counter-culture that they adopted back in the 60’s.
