From L.A and back – 2 day/1 night tour – Joshua Tree to Newport Beach. With returning customer and friend Fabien from Paris, France.

Fabien Rented his bike from Eaglerider. A BMW NineT, 1200CC, a powerful, light weight and nimble ride! When planning for this ride, he requested new and exciting roads…well sir, SoCal has a lot to offer in this regard and our two day ride proved to be very diverse in terms of scenery.
Check it out folks as this is an incredibly varied tour: mountains, lakes, desert high & low, rolling hills, canyons and the Pacific Coast to cool down!

DAY1. The San Gabriel Mountains and San Bernardino Forest, Angeles Crest, Wrightwood, Silverwood, Arrowhead and Big Bear lakes, Lunch at the Hortensias restaurant overlook, south of Lake Arrowhead. Going downhill to the flat, dry and roasted Johnson Valley was quite an adventure. After ab.250 miles we finally ended the day at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown for an evening of beer and country music. Yeeeaaa

DAY2. An early start to cross the Joshua Tree National Park in the coolest hours of the day. Magical, just us two and our iron steeds. Then Mecca to Palm desert and up the San Jacinto Mountains to Anza, Aguanga (Ricardo Breceda outdoor workshop always a hoot), Temecula, Lake Elsinore, stop at the Lookout cafe for a drink on the terrace before winding down Ortega Hwy to Dana Point on the coast. Our last leg along the coast, through the beach towns of Laguna, Newport-Balboa, Huntington, Sunset and seal beach.
Another 250 miles for a total of 800 kms.
